SJVN Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has invited applications for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). SJVN was incorporated on 24 May 1988 as a Joint Venture of the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh (GoHP). It is a listed company with about 55% shareholding of the Government of India, 26.65% of the Government of Himachal Pradesh and the balance 18.15% with the public. The Chairman and Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the Company, accountable to the Board of Directors and to the Government of India / Shareholders. The CMD is responsible for the efficient functioning of the Company and for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters. The pay scale of the post is Rs. 2,00,000 - 3,70,000 (IDA) per month, plus PRP and other admissible benefits. The date of occurrence of vacancy (DOV) is 13 June 2026. Eligibility, age, qualification, experience and pay-scale conditions for internal and other (Central PSE, State PSE, Central Government, Armed Forces, Public Sector Banks / Financial Institutions, and private-sector) candidates are specified in the advertisement. The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or until the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
