NTA Young Professionals 2026 — Overview
The National Testing Agency (NTA), the autonomous body under the Ministry of Education that conducts JEE (Main), NEET-UG, CUET and UGC-NET, has invited applications for the engagement of 16 Young Professionals (YPs) on contract basis through the Pratibha Setu Portal of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Who Can Apply
This is not an open recruitment. Applications will be considered only from candidates who are registered on the UPSC Pratibha Setu portal — that is, candidates who have appeared in the Civil Services Examination and figure on that portal. Stream-specific requirements apply:
- Academic Research: a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject (or a CSE optional subject aligned with NTA's exam subjects) is preferred; PhD holders (submitted or awarded) get preference, as does experience in academic research, teaching or educational assessment.
- Legal Research: CSE candidates with Law as the optional subject; an LLM from a recognised university; experience in legal research or litigation support is preferred.
- Finance and Accounts Research: a postgraduate degree in Commerce, Economics or Finance, or a professional qualification such as CA, CMA or CS; experience in financial analysis, audit, budgeting or accounts is preferred.
Remuneration and Terms
Selected YPs receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹80,000 per month (fixed, all-inclusive, no separate allowances). The initial term is 24 months, extendable by a further 12 months (up to 36 months in total) based on performance. The engagement is full-time, five days a week, in Delhi, with eight days of leave per year. It is purely contractual and creates no right to regularisation or a government post. Each YP signs a Non-Disclosure Agreement, and association with coaching institutes or exam-prep publishers during the engagement is barred as a conflict of interest.
Selection Process
NTA will shortlist applications on eligibility and profile fit, then call shortlisted candidates for an interview (in person at NTA Delhi or by video-conference). NTA may additionally hold a written test or task-based assessment. Final selection is at NTA's sole discretion.

कौन आवेदन कर सकता है
