The Government of India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce (SEZ Admin Section), Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi has issued Advertisement No. K-61/1/2026-SEZ (ADMIN) inviting applications to fill up one post of Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC), MEPZ SEZ, Chennai, on deputation basis. The post is located at the MEPZ Special Economic Zone, Chennai, and carries Pay Level 11 as per the 7th CPC matrix. There is exactly one (01) vacancy.
Job requirements, experience and qualifications are detailed in Annexure-I. Eligibility is open to officers of Central Government Services including All India Services (AIS), Group A/Group B Services, State Government Officers, Officers of Union Territories, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies and Statutory Bodies who (i) hold analogous posts on a regular basis, or (ii) have five years of service in the post carrying Pay Level-10 as per the 7th CPC pay matrix. The desirable condition is experience in industrial development, foreign trade, estate development and administration.
Important conditions include: the deputation period including any period already spent on deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other Organization/Department of the Central Government should not exceed three years; and the maximum age limit for appointment by transfer on deputation should not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
The appointment will be on transfer on deputation basis, and the period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 03 years in case of DDC. The terms and conditions of deputation will be governed by the DoPT O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 17 June 2010 as amended from time to time. Duly completed applications of eligible and willing officers, in the prescribed format (Annexure-II) along with the documents listed, must be forwarded through proper channel. Applications not received in the prescribed format, or received after the last date, or without confidential reports and other relevant documents, or found incomplete, will not be considered. पद के लिए आवश्यक योग्यता, अनुभव एवं अर्हताएं अनुलग्नक-I में दी गई हैं। पात्रता केंद्र सरकार सेवाओं के अधिकारियों के लिए खुली है जिनमें अखिल भारतीय सेवाएं (AIS), समूह क/समूह ख सेवाएं, राज्य सरकार के अधिकारी, संघ राज्य क्षेत्रों के अधिकारी, सार्वजनिक उपक्रम, स्वायत्त निकाय एवं सांविधिक निकाय शामिल हैं, जो (i) नियमित आधार पर समकक्ष पद धारण करते हों, अथवा (ii) 7वें वेतन आयोग वेतन मैट्रिक्स के अनुसार वेतन स्तर-10 वाले पद में पांच वर्ष की सेवा रखते हों। वांछनीय शर्त औद्योगिक विकास, विदेश व्यापार, संपदा विकास एवं प्रशासन में अनुभव है।
महत्वपूर्ण शर्तें: इस नियुक्ति से ठीक पहले उसी अथवा किसी अन्य केंद्र सरकार संगठन/विभाग में किसी अन्य एक्स-कैडर पद पर पहले से व्यतीत प्रतिनियुक्ति अवधि सहित प्रतिनियुक्ति अवधि तीन वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए; तथा प्रतिनियुक्ति पर स्थानांतरण द्वारा नियुक्ति के लिए अधिकतम आयु सीमा आवेदन प्राप्ति की अंतिम तिथि को 56 वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
नियुक्ति प्रतिनियुक्ति पर स्थानांतरण आधार पर होगी, और DDC के मामले में प्रतिनियुक्ति की अवधि सामान्यतः 03 वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होगी। प्रतिनियुक्ति की नियम एवं शर्तें DoPT कार्यालय ज्ञापन संख्या 6/8/2009-Estt. 2. The completed application along with the following documents should be forwarded to: The Under Secretary (SEZ), Cabin No. 0007, 3rd Floor, Department of Commerce, Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi-110001.
3. Documents to be attached:
(i) Complete and up-to-date Confidential Reports (CRs/ACRs) for the last five years in original, or photocopies thereof duly attested by an officer not below the rank of an Under Secretary to the Government of India.
(ii) Vigilance Clearance.
(iii) Cadre Clearance.
4. Deadline: Applications must reach within a period of 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar newspaper.
5. Applications not received in the prescribed format, or received after the last date, or received without confidential reports and other relevant documents, or found incomplete, will not be considered.
6. The appointment will be on transfer on deputation basis. The period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 03 years in case of DDC. The terms and conditions of deputation will be governed by the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel & Training vide O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt.
