SELECTION PROCESS — AGNIVEER (SSR) AND AGNIVEER (MR) As per the current Agniveer SSR and MR advertisements and the Navy's official written-exam instructions. One INET cycle feeds several batches, so check the live advertisement for dates. Three steps: Stage I INET (online screening), Stage II PFT plus written exam plus recruitment medical, then enrolment at INS Chilka off the merit list. STAGE I — INET (INDIAN NAVY ENTRANCE TEST) - Mode: computer-based, objective MCQ, four options with one correct answer - Language: bilingual — Hindi and English - Agniveer SSR — 100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes; four sections: English, Science, Mathematics, General Awareness; standard of 10+2 - Agniveer MR — 50 questions, 50 marks, 30 minutes; two sections: Science & Mathematics, and General Awareness; standard of Class 10 - Negative marking: one-fourth (0.25) of the marks of a question is deducted for every wrong answer, for both SSR and MR - Sectional pass rule: must pass EVERY section and the aggregate. The Navy fixes those pass marks and does not publish them in advance - Shortlisting is state-wise on INET marks, so cut-offs differ by state; ties go to the earlier date of birth - Verified Sponsor candidates and NCC 'C' holders skip Stage I INET and get a direct Stage II call-up STAGE II — PFT, WRITTEN EXAM AND MEDICAL Physical Fitness Test (qualifying, must be cleared): - Men — 1.6 km run in 6 min 30 sec, 20 squats (uthak baithak), 15 push-ups, 15 bent-knee sit-ups - Women — 1.6 km run in 8 min, 15 squats, 10 push-ups, 10 bent-knee sit-ups Stage II Written Examination, held only for candidates who clear the PFT: - SSR — 100 questions of 1 mark each, 60 minutes, same four sections, 10+2 standard - MR — 50 questions of 1 mark each, 30 minutes, same two sections, Class 10 standard - Bilingual and objective; again a pass is needed in all sections and in the aggregate Recruitment Medical follows for PFT-qualified candidates. A candidate found unfit may appeal for review within 5 days at a designated military hospital. FINAL MERIT The Provisional Select List is drawn from Stage II written exam marks, subject to qualifying the PFT and the recruitment medical. It is separate for male and female candidates and for each batch. SSR merit is state-wise; MR merit is all-India. INET marks are used only for shortlisting, not in the final merit. Examination fee: Rs 550 plus 18% GST, paid once with the Stage I application. There is no separate fee for Stage II.
