The Defence Materials & Stores Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE), G.T. Road, Kanpur-208 013, a laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Ministry of Defence, will conduct a walk-in interview to award a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). One (01) JRF position is offered, initially for a period of two years, in the disciplines of Chemistry/Material Science/Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering/Technology/Material Science & Engineering. The JRF stipend is ₹37,000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd year, along with a contingency grant of up to ₹15,000/- per annum (₹20,000/- for subsequent years) and HRA as per government rules; JRFs are not eligible for DA, CCA, Bonus or retirement benefits. The essential qualification is a first-division Post Graduate degree in the relevant basic science with NET/GATE, or a first-division B.E./B.Tech with NET/GATE, or a first-division M.E./M.Tech in the relevant professional discipline. The maximum age is 28 years as on the date of interview, with 5 years' relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy-layer) candidates.
