Central Sanskrit University Teaching Recruitment 2026 (90 Posts)

There are 90 vacancies in total — 23 Associate Professor posts (Pay Level-13A) and 67 Level-10 posts (Assistant Professor, Assistant Director Physical Education & Sports, and Assistant Librarian) across the Vedvyas, Shri Raghunath Kirti and Ekalavya campuses.

कुल 90 रिक्तियाँ हैं — 23 सह-प्रोफेसर (वेतन स्तर-13A) तथा 67 स्तर-10 पद (सहायक प्रोफेसर, सहायक निदेशक शारीरिक शिक्षा एवं खेल, तथा सहायक पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष) जो वेदव्यास, श्री रघुनाथ कीर्ति एवं एकलव्य परिसरों के लिए हैं।

The online application window is open from 10 June 2026 to 10 July 2026 up to 11:30 PM IST, after which the link is disabled. The signed hard copy must reach the Registrar within 15 days of the online closing date (around 25 July 2026).

For Level-10 posts: Rs 1,500 for UR/OBC/EWS (Rs 1,000 fee + Rs 500 processing) and Rs 500 for SC/ST/Women/PwBD/Transgender (processing only). For Level-13A posts: Rs 2,000 for UR/OBC/EWS (Rs 1,000 + Rs 1,000) and Rs 1,000 for SC/ST/Women/PwBD/Transgender. Fee is paid online, is non-refundable, and is separate for each subject applied for.

No. There is no written examination for Associate Professor (Level-13A) posts — selection is by shortlisting, video/PPT presentation, research-skill assessment and interview. For Assistant Professor (Level-10) posts an OMR-based MCQ plus descriptive written test is held only for shortlisting, and it may be dispensed with for a subject if fewer than 20 eligible candidates apply.

नहीं। सह-प्रोफेसर (स्तर-13A) पदों के लिए कोई लिखित परीक्षा नहीं है — चयन शॉर्टलिस्टिंग, वीडियो/PPT प्रस्तुति, शोध-कौशल मूल्यांकन एवं साक्षात्कार से होता है। सहायक प्रोफेसर (स्तर-10) पदों के लिए केवल शॉर्टलिस्टिंग हेतु OMR आधारित MCQ + वर्णनात्मक परीक्षा होती है, जिसे किसी विषय में 20 से कम योग्य अभ्यर्थी होने पर हटाया भी जा सकता है।

Associate Professor posts are at 7th CPC Pay Level-13A with an entry pay of around Rs 1,31,400 per month, and Level-10 posts (Assistant Professor / Assistant Director / Assistant Librarian) carry an entry pay of around Rs 57,700 per month, plus admissible allowances such as DA and HRA.

सह-प्रोफेसर पद 7वें CPC वेतन स्तर-13A में हैं जिसका आरंभिक वेतन लगभग ₹1,31,400 प्रतिमाह है, तथा स्तर-10 पदों (सहायक प्रोफेसर/सहायक निदेशक/सहायक पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष) का आरंभिक वेतन लगभग ₹57,700 प्रतिमाह है, साथ में DA, HRA आदि भत्ते।

You need a Master's degree in the relevant Shastra/subject with the percentage prescribed by UGC, plus NET/SET/SLET or Ph.D. (as per UGC norms) for Assistant Professor, and a Ph.D. with prescribed teaching/research experience and publications for Associate Professor. Exact subject-wise criteria are in Annexure-I of the notification.

The notification does not fix a numeric upper age limit; age, relaxations and superannuation are governed by the applicable UGC Regulations and Government of India / CSU rules, as is standard for university teaching posts.

Candidates can choose any one centre out of Delhi, Mumbai/Pune, Kolkata and Bengaluru for all their exams, regardless of the campus applied for. Subjects are grouped into three Schedules held in different time slots; a candidate may sit for subjects in different Schedules but cannot appear in more than one exam within the same Schedule, so choose subjects carefully.

Yes. The posts are campus-specific and selected candidates must serve at the campus of initial posting for a minimum of about 10 years (or as prescribed). Personal-ground transfer requests during this period will normally not be entertained, as the rule aims to ensure stability at remote/hard-station campuses.

Yes. One registration is enough to apply for multiple subjects/posts, but you must submit a separate application and pay a separate fee for each subject. If choosing multiple subjects, ensure they fall in different exam Schedules to avoid a clash.
